In its ongoing efforts to defend its top position obtained in the 2021 grade 12 results in Limpopo, Capricorn South District has amongst others turned to a clinical psychologist Dr Mandu Selepe and a top performing principal Mr TC Ramara of Taxila Combined School based in Nirvana, Polokwane for tips.
Renowned clinical psychologist Selepe heeded the call and immediately went on to pep up principals who attended a ceremony to celebrate performance held at Laerskool Pietersburg recently.
Selepe said, “Do not be afraid, have a positive mind. You must say, this is my spot and I am going to maintain it.”
Ramara, a disciplinarian said, “We are using permission cards to ensure that there is no loitering during lessons. Each teacher is given only one or two permission cards. This means you allow one learner at a go. You can’t have seven learners going to the toilet during one period.”
Tinyiko Nkuza, director of ‘the district on the rise’ spelled out her wishes, “Our grade 12 class of 2022 should score least 85% or more. We got position one at 73.8% amongst the 10 districts in Limpopo in 2021.”
